The Tasman SES Unit is an active Road Crash Rescue Unit which also trains in General Rescue. It is based in Nubeena on the Tasman Peninsula. The unit trains weekly on a Tuesday night for approximately 2 hours.

The Tasman Landcare Group (originally Bangor Landcare) has been improving environmental outcomes in the Tasman Catchment. The group's members make up a 'broad church' of primary producers, Coast carers, hobby farmers, bush-walkers, fishers and many others from all walks of life. The group has conducted projects in partnership with the Tasman District School, Tasman Council, Tasman Scout Group, several Coastcare groups and NRM South to name a few.

The Tasman Community Op Shop and Library provides the Tasman community a place to obtain good quality second hand clothing and bric a brac, as well as a source of books for loan.
